Blizzard have revealed the info about new Season coming to Diablo 4 this autumn - Season of Blood!
The unexpected news came from the Gamescom: Opening Night Live event where, the game development team announced that the Season of Blood will begin on October 17.
Second Season's theme revolves around vampires. A new threat emerged in the Sanctuary, and a freshly turned army of ravenous vampires is ravaging the towns and villages. You will be at the center of conflict and must learn to fight and hunt vampires, all the while borrowing from their power.
Season of Blood will introduce a new Questline for you to uncover, Vampiric Powers to wield against the enemies, 5 additional endgame Bosses with the ability to target specific Unique and Uber Unique items as a drop, and more.

Quality of Life & System Changes
Additionally, Season of Blood will introduce several community-requested updates:
- More efficient Inventory management for Gems.
- Renown will now carry over into a new Season once achieved with an Eternal or previous Seasonal Realm character. This includes Paragon Points, Skill Points, Potion Charges, and Obol capacity upgrades (in addition to Altars and Map Areas that already carry over).
- Changes to the functionality of status effects such as Vulnerable, Overpower, Critical Strike Damage and also Elemental Resistances.
- The ability to target-farm specific Unique and Ultra Unique items as a drop.
The updates above bullet will be available in both Seasonal and Eternal Realms.
